And I'm back!

I think I need to get back in the habit of posting to this blog at least once a week. It keeps me feeling accomplished. I have been using every moment of my free time editing the documentary and am inching into the very tedious editing tasks, like making sure the sound is all at the same level. Some would ask me isn't all editing tedious? I don't think so myself, but I like it, so I am not a good judge. What I hate is the sweetening, which is what I am currently approaching. What I like about editing is creating the story, working out the arcs and looking at shots and matching them together. You watch the same thing over and over again until it just clicks in your head and you put two shots together and suddenly they seem like one. Maybe it does sound a little tedious. Just a little.

I thought I would include a shot of my glorious view of Coors Field. It's fun to watch all the people on game day from the window. They have had fireworks four times this year (once was a practice that we accidentally caught) and it is an experience to sit in your own living room and see them so close-up. I am settling into Denver and glad to be near the mountains again. I love to stand at my window and stare at everything, especially at night. Though, I normally look out the other direction where There is a street and the mountains and visible and many Denver suburbs stretch out in the distance. At night it seems so calm and the lights are twinkling and you can watch lone cars sit at the lights. It's peaceful and intriguing at the same time, which is a very different kind of sereneness when compared to my house in North Carolina.

Hi Chelsea:

I hadn't checked your page in months, but when I did today, I was suprised to find you in Denver! What a change indeed.

I like Denver. I had a Great Uncle who lived on the 400 block of Pearl Street. (Back in the day, long dead now)

Nice loft apartmant. Is that a fire supression sprinkler I see on your ceiling? I ask because that's what I do. (Fire Prevention for IU)

Glad you'er back.

Hi Mel,
I have no idea about that sprinkler. It is a sprinkler, but that is all I know about. I am glad to be in Denver though I will be moving back to Boulder soon because the commute back and forth gets to be a pain and my parents are there so...

Glad to see you are back to. I guess this is how it works we just come and go as needed!
